Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently two years through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the first major honor of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would definitely consider lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
